This lake is situated in Eastern Siberia and considered to be the deepest lake in the world as well as the biggest freshwater tank on the Earth. It is 1500 meters deep (5000 feet). Baikal is home to more than 1,700 species of plants and animals, two thirds of which can be found nowhere else in the world.
No one knows how long ago they were created, but for sure scientists know that only nature could create such a thin g. Estimated age is 200 million years and their height is 42 meters at most (140 feet.). The seven rock formations of Manpupuner in the Komi Republic are as obscure in mystery as they sometimes are in snowstorms and fog.
The landmark is located on the Kamchatka penin sula and com prises of hundreds livin g geysers. It is the only geyser field in main land Eurasia and the second largest concentration of geysers in the world. The place is in the list of UNESCO World's Heritage. This 6 km long basin with approximately nin ety geysers and many hot sprin gs is situated on the Kamchatka Penin sula and the temperatures here have been found to be 250 degree C, 500 m below the caldera ground.
This memorial of huge sizes was built in the end of 50’s to pay tribute to the memory of those people who were killed on their duties durin g the WWII. The monument is in the Guin ness Book of World Records as the highest monument at that time. The woman symbolizes Russia and is two times higher than the Statue of Liberty with 85 meters high (280 feet.).
1-Saint Basil’s Cathedral
Saint Basil's Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox cathedral erected on the Red Square in Moscow in 1555-1561. Built on the order of Ivan IV of Russia , it marks the geometric center of the city and the hub of its growth since the 14th century. It was the tallest building of Moscow until the completion of the Ivan the Great Bell Tower in 1600.
