Uttarakhand Mahotsav “Kauthig 2018” to begin on Jan 19th 2018 at Nerul, Navi Mumbai

The days-long Uttarakhand cultural festival `Kauthig 2018’, the largest PAHADI community festival will be held at Nerul’s Ramleela Maidan in Navi Mumbai from Friday January 19 to Sunday January 28, 2018 from 6pm to 10pm. The mega festival  that is going into  its 11th year , will showcase unique colors and aspects of Uttarakhandi traditions and customs through music, dance performances and traditional folklore among other programs. Over 200 artists coming from the state known for its rich culture will give their pulsating performances in several forms such as dance sequences, dramas using traditional pahadi instruments like Dor-Thakuli, Dhol-damau, Ransinga, Bhankor, Mochhang, Conch, Bell and Flute, among others. Defeats  two times defending Champion Pithoragarh Panthers by 8 wickets in the UPL Season 6 final  Navi Mumbai, December 4, 2017: Jaunsar XI which reached in the final of UPL ( Uttarakhand Premier League) for the first time, created history by winning the coveted UPL Season VI trophy by knocking down two times defending champions Pithoragrah Panthers by 8 wickets on December 3, 2017, at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, CBD Belapur.  The new UPL champions comfortably chased 64 runs target in the 8th over. The winning team played total of 6 games in the tournament and lost only once in the league matches. Vasai, Feb 1, 2015- Uttarakhandi Mumbaikers dream of having Shri Badrinathji Temple and a community welfare center near the island city of Mumbai is going to be the reality soon!  The foundation sone for the 22700 sqf grand temple project initiated by Uttaranchal Mitra Mandal Vasai, has been laid by Shri Harish Rawat (Hon. Chief Minister, Uttarakhand) today at Shri Badrivishal Temple Complex, Sun City Vasai (w), near Mumbai. Navi Mumbai, Jan 27, 2015 : The five-day-long cultural extravaganza  of Uttarakhand `Kauthig 2015’  which was celebrated with gusto in Navi Mumbai, concluded on Monday with nearly 15000-thousand Uttarakhandi Mumbaikars celebrated and rejoiced their cultural fiesta in the final day events. Three important personalities, KG Kodiyal, Indra Singh Negi, Vasundhra Negi, were chosen and honoured with special “ Samman Patra ” for their contribution  and efforts in keeping Uttarakhand’s traditional heritage and traditions alive. The cultural festival of Uttarakhand "Kauthig 2015" is spreading festive cheer in the city from 22rd January to 26th January. The five-day-long cultural festival of Uttarakhand `Kauthig 2015’  will be held at Nerul’s Ramleela Maidan  in Navi Mumbai from Thursday January 22 to January Monday 26, 2015 from 6pm to 10pm. Mr  Harak Singh Rawat, Agriculture Minister, Govt. Of Uttarakhand  will  inaugurate ( on Jan 22, 2015 at 5pm)  this mega festival  that is going into  its 8th year  of showcasing  unique Uttarakhandi traditions and customs, music, dance performances and traditional folklore  to Navi Mumbai. The festival will begin (3pm) with Ma Nanda Devi Traditional  Raaj Jaat,Jhanki (Tableau) from Nanda Devi Temple in Belapur and will travel through many places in the city.
