The days-long Uttarakhand cultural festival `Kauthig 2018’, the largest PAHADI community festival will be held at Nerul’s Ramleela Maidan in Navi Mumbai from Friday January 19 to Sunday January 28, 2018 from 6pm to 10pm. The mega festival  that is going into  its 11th year , will showcase unique colors and aspects of Uttarakhandi traditions and customs through music, dance performances and traditional folklore among other programs. Over 200 artists coming from the state known for its rich culture will give their pulsating performances in several forms such as dance sequences, dramas using traditional pahadi instruments like Dor-Thakuli, Dhol-damau, Ransinga, Bhankor, Mochhang, Conch, Bell and Flute, among others. Vasai, Feb 1, 2015- Uttarakhandi Mumbaikers dream of having Shri Badrinathji Temple and a community welfare center near the island city of Mumbai is going to be the reality soon!  The foundation sone for the 22700 sqf grand temple project initiated by Uttaranchal Mitra Mandal Vasai, has been laid by Shri Harish Rawat (Hon. Navi Mumbai, Jan 27, 2015 : The five-day-long cultural extravaganza  of Uttarakhand `Kauthig 2015’  which was celebrated with gusto in Navi Mumbai, concluded on Monday with nearly 15000-thousand Uttarakhandi Mumbaikars celebrated and rejoiced their cultural fiesta in the final day events. Three important personalities, KG Kodiyal, Indra Singh Negi, Vasundhra Negi, were chosen and honoured with special “ Samman Patra ” for their contribution  and efforts in keeping Uttarakhand’s traditional heritage and traditions alive.
